The Berkshires located in Western Ma. are divided into 3 counties which are made up of several towns. They are North, Central and South County. The largest city is Pittsfield which is in Central Berkshire. There are many small towns located a short drive from Pittsfield. Greylock which has several hiking trails, a lodge and from the summit views ranging 70-100 miles are possible into 5 different states; Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Connecticut.
